20 is that age where our parents will neither call us teenager nor adult. It is that age where we ourselves are unsure what lies ahead and the steps to take from here on. But don't worry, Teacher Jae is here to help ^.^
Today, I won't be asking you to do anything. Instead, I want to share my thoughts as a 20 year old girl with all of you. Despite my achievements, I wouldn't consider myself smart or gifted. I guess I just took my chances and every opportunity that comes my way. I put in my best effort to step out of my comfort zone and do well.
Do I know what I want to do in the future? Probably not!
But will I give up? No!
Yes, it's true. Even at age 20, I'm still unsure and unclear of what is about to happen to me. All I know is, I'm hit with the harsh reality that I'm older and should take charge of my future. If you were initially scared and worried, know that at this point of time, you're not the only one feeling that way! ;)
So, what do I do to overcome my insecure self?
I like to talk to people. That's one crucial way to get to know what others experience and could be an important help. I also like to spend some time alone to look back and reflect on the things I liked and disliked. I would also take an A4, sit down and write the few plans I made for myself eg start an eCommerce business, teach Korean, start a YouTube channel, take an online course etc. It doesn't have to be very specific at first, wanting to something can be as simple as saying "I want to...", after that then you go deeper and sketch out how you plan to do so. I also find reading forums online useful, however, do not get influenced by the negativity online. Though some might be true, it might not apply to everyone. Take it with a pinch of salt, aight?
Now, lemme share the plan with you with regard to my blog. I want to slowly build my blog with content that I'm happy posting and sharing with all of you. Though, I am only able to do so once a week due to my internship. BUT! Doing something is better than not doing, right? I also plan to start my Korean class online in mid October, delivering bite-sized Korean lessons! I'll be launching some products on my site soon as well, so put me in your favorites! <3
Okay, it's getting a lil lengthy haha! I'm gonna wrap up here. Just want to show yall that I'm no different from you. Nothing comes easy, maybe after you try out stuff you've placed high expectations in, you'll realize it's a bit different from your expectations. That's okay, just keep going! There's this saying - do what you love, love what you do. I agree 101%! I also go by this motto - carpe diem. It means to seize the day and go after what you want as though it's the last day of your life <3 wish you all the best :)
